I've been an user of the HVX for more than a year now, and I've always had problems with the DV tape mode in 24pA. Not so on the DVX100, which was flawless again and again when using 24pA.
I recently shot an interview on DV tape in an HVX200. I recorded bars and tone for the first minute as I have done with the DVX100. I used the Rec Check button when I stopped the tape; only twice during the event. I captured the tape in FCP 5.1.1, using Capture Now. I captured from the beginning of the tape.
Removing pulldown always fails in FCP.
What gives!?
