HVX + Zacuto News Man + CARRION w/Anton Bauer

Well it won't fit in the title...
I want to use the Newsman Zacuto kit, but replacing the "lunchbox" which is nothing but a counterbalance with an Anton Bauer battery that weights around those figures, I am guessing the Logic Pro Pac 14NC... that will power Siniarch's Carrion that will be all over the camera with a short DVI and power cables thanks to the Zamerican monitor arm (the longest one?)

So something in between the Newsman and the Studio Shoulder-Mounted

And the idea is to avoid getting the Double Plate and the Red plate which you see in the back holding the batteries... the Double Plate is a good starting point, but I don't want to have to get two more plates just for the Battery!

EDIT: And just to throw it in there... how much would it be to rent the lenses and DOF adapter with whatever other Zacuto piece I would need?

I'm doing a similar setup with this http://www.zacuto.com/Mathers0053lglg.jpg

Should be here monday. I broke down and went with the red plate and battery mount. Its too slick to not do. And I've got a job coming up that will pay for it. Take a look at Batteries4Broadcast. I just got their two 90wh goldmounts plus charger kit. Pretty sweet price. I havent had them but a few days now, but have been using one of the batteries on my lh80 to do some editing with and it works great. Charger also functions as a power supply. Using the other to play with my new zylight as well. Both batteries have been charged twice now and so far so good. Havent used Anton Bauer stuff though so I really cant compare.

Wait, where is that bage? I would like to see the details of that configuration...

I guess the only difference is that you get an adapter to lower the shoulder mount and make the setup shorter (less inertia on panning) but it becomes more compact and definitively --at least-- a bit tougher than my idea
And my idea and get the adapter that brings it off to the side but certainly becomes at least a bit more flimsy... but you get the built in HVX LCD for the operator for framing and you can have the 1AC on the other side with the RR FF and the Carrion for focus...and also with the Zamerican you can really stretch that arm out...

Here is one with the Zofset bracket

Why didn't you get the Zarm (it is supposed to be much stonger than the Noga)

sorry Zacuto doesnt have details on that one. Just some setup they cooked up. I imagine it was made before the Zamerican arm hence the noga. I had to piece mine together from parts on their site. So I did get the Zamerican arm as it looks like the best thing out there. I also added a z-round for connecting the monitor to the double plate when its tripod based. I'm using this in a more documentary/ENG style so I dont have an AC to worry about :) Just me.

Here's the page with all of their handheld pics, just no details. Some of it is a bit outdated but you get the idea.

I'll add too that I was able to get a decent discount out of them too. I think they'll do it for just about anybody. PM Steve on here (SN Zacuto) or just call em up.

Oh, yes, I forgot about the rail-clamp for the Zamerican! Thanks!
$120 more

What I am wondering is if the Zoffset really is tough enough not to ruin the feel of the rest of the Zacuto kits... I guess I could use two if the concern were in fact torsion... an other $255 is a lot! (I will call them about this)

Awsome! I'll work my magic
