HVX Variable Frame Rates with FS-100?

Does anyone know if the HVX variable frame rates will work with FS-100. I own the FS-100 and have tried using variable frame-rate with a 72024p/filmcam setting. It doesn't seem to work when I playback from FS-100. The downside with the FS-100 is it doesn't (Yet) register 72024PN: Does HVX have to be in that mode for the vfr's to work?? thanks!
 
Yes VFR will work with the FS-100, but you have to process the footage through Apple's Frame Rate Converter utility to strip out the duplicate frames.

In version 3.0 of the FS-100 software (not released yet) it'll do that for you automatically.

I've never done this before...is this something in Cinema Tools? Thanks!
