HVX to OTG help?

I picked up a self powered OTG (InfoSafe USB 2.0 On-The_Go), a cool little device in which I've installed an 80GB HD 7200rpm. I've been able to get it recognized on my desktop. I can't however get the camera to see it. I'm in 1394 Host. I connect them up and then turn power on. I follow the instructions in the manual but when I finally get to the 1394 Host page on the camera, I'm not given the option to "Copy to HDD" or "Format" etc. I only get an option to go into "setup" that goes to a "Verify" submenu that then goes to an "On" or "Off" submenu. It makes me think the camera really isn't seeing a drive. Anyone have any suggestions or run into similar circumstances? TIA

Don't go to 1394 host, go to "USB Device". And the camera won't give you any options, as the camera isn't the "host" device. The drive is. So put the camera in USB Device mode, then press the button on your OTG drive and the drive will take over and start copying the files off the cards.

Thanks Barry, it still didn't kick in however. When I hold the button down to get the camera into USB Device... it reads USB Device Disconnect. When I press the button on the OTG, the LCD screen changes to read USB Device Connect...that's a good sign...but the OTG starts flashing ERROR. Any other ideas?

The cable I have is mini A on one end, mini B on the other. The mini A will not fit into the HVX USB port so I'm putting that end into the OTG. I couldn't find a cable that had only miniB on both ends or only mini A on both ends. This is pretty frustrating as I seem so close to making this work. I'll head back to the parts store and get a set of adapters and see if I can work around it with a mini A or mini B adapter. I you think of anything else...please lay it on me! Thanks.
