I spent my weekend attending Glidecam training at Alan Gordon camera store.
2 days, lots and lots of sweat.....lots of fun.....a ton of learning.
Scott my instructor was awesome.
1st impressions about steadicam/Glidecam operating.........It's not as easy as it looks folks! Trust me!
Despite the steep learning curve after 16 long hours, I got the hang of it and left feeling pretty confident.
I spent alot of my class time flying a RED one on a GLidecam X-45 sled with a Gold series arm and vest. Since this is the setup I might use the most at work. It worked great. Fenomenal.
On the second day I spent the afternoon on the HVX/RR rig. We used a glidecam V-25 sled/arm/vest. I also dropped the rig on the X-45 rig for a few runs at the end. Of course that worked great as well.......
So in Case you were wondering.......a HVX/RR rigs flies beautifully on those 2 glidecams..........I post footage once I get to it later this week....
BTW- My rig and Glidecam services are for hire in LA in case u need it :cheesy:
here's some pics.....
me and the red outside in the parking lot doing some drills....in the blazing sun!
