HVX+Redrock setting zoom on camera

hello guys, i just noticed some people use much more zoomed hvx attached to Redrock M2 than me (and mabye that is the problem of my feeling of poor quality) in the end with quite big crop factor of lense about 1.3

what zoom do you use? from my experience somewhere around 70-71 (NUMBER) you see almost whole view of lense (I use photographic Nikon lenses) ...

PS: i dont have an flipX which changes the distance i think

It will depend on your individual setup. Hard mount kit as against soft mount. Go to the Redrock site and watch the tutorials. They are very detailed. 70-71mm is the starting point where you focus on the gg, but you may need to zoom further depending on your setup.
