HVX Pal & FCP

[eliotbaring]

With the current version of FCP is it possible to edit DVC PRO HD 25p?

I don't think so. I am wondering whether to buy Canopus Edius or wait for Apple to support DVCPRO HD (PAL). Anyone know if or when they might announce that?

[eliotbaring]

I would find it hard to believe that FCP will support PAL.
It's has gotten behind the camera so hopefully it will just be a short amount of time before the upgrade is available.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

FCP5 DOES work with HVX200. It supports all recording formats (including 1080p) EXCEPT 720np. That is, native progressive. C'ya!

I know the hvx works with FCP. My question is in regard to PAL using 25p instead of 24p.

Still no 720/25p in FCP 5.1 Can anyone confirm this for sure.

I think I'm going to go the Edius or Avid Xpress Pro HD route since there is no word from Apple about DVCPRO HD (PAL) support.

There will be.
