HVX Onboard monitor

I too am looking for a recommendation on this.

Does all the info from the LCD pass through to an onboard monitor? If i had an onboard monitor I would like to be able to use the focus assist feature on it. That would combination would be nice to follow focus with.
 
I don't believe it would. Anyone know somethin about onboard monitors for the HVX, some good recommendations???

I believe that you cna select whether or not the info goes to the monitor in the menu. At it works that way with the DVX using s-video cable.
 
Peaking does not on the DVX100A so I would be surprised (Plesantly) if focus assist did.
 
LOL ok once again.....anyone have experience with maybe a marshall onboard or anything of the sort, and recommendations?
 
I have seen the Marshall at EVS and I like it alot. I will probably get one but bear in mind it is an 800x480 Pixel display so not real HD. Certainly much sharper & cleaner than any other onboard I've ever seen and accurate enough color that I wouldn't bother bringing my CRT. I also think it's fine for focusing.

So sad. So I guess it's using the focus assist on the LCD or having a full HD field monitor. An onboard monitor that can't utilize the focus assist is neither here nor there.
