Due to an up-side-down mount order for HVX/MPIC, I got the chance to play a bit with this camera. I like it and I am glad to say it works very well with my device:

I am deciding between the M2 and your setup. Price is obviously a factor, however the M2 requires some mods to be used with the HVX200. What step down rings/filters did you need to use it? Thanks for you help.

I did not have to mod anything (especially since it was not my camera). All I did is mount the MPIC on the rods and adjust the distance to HVX for sharp focus and then zoom-in. MPIC is 72, so I used a step down 82-72 to connect. I hope this helps.

It just happens that I got a clip with a rack focus and some pics from a new owner. Nothing spectacular yet, just "getting the hang of it" (first day- yesterday!)

Thanks for downloading. It works well. From now on, is just a matter of getting some "beauty shoots" and he is working on it.
