HVX + MINI attempt = fail =(

Hi all :)

Today I set out with the intention of shooting some test footage with my Letus Mini 35mm adapter attached to a Panasonic HVX-200.
Although my Mini has a 43mm thread, and the HVX has a 82mm thread, I already had planned for this size stand off, and previously ordered Step Down Rings, that of: 52-43mm, 77-52mm, 82-77mm.

Now as predicted this stepping ring setup creates quite a large "blank" ring infront of the HVX lens. Basically, here are some shots of the zoom process to crop the GG:

In the last image, the HVX is zoomed in to it's max. As you can see, there is still "stepping-vignetting" from the stepping ring which cannot be cropped out, not to mention still blocking the GG edges  So I removed my baby and put it back on my HV20 - no questions asked.

Although the Mini doesn't seem to work on larger cameras with such a dramatic increase in thread size, I have no complaints as my intentions were mainly to use the Mini with my HV20.

That said, when ordering the step down rings, I did cover most of the larger HD lens thread sizes and am still determined to perform more "tests". Just want to share some of that Mini love :)
