HVX mic holder?

After having my HVX over a year I finally went to mount a shotgun on the camera and the mic holder that comes with seems flimsy, loose and ready to break off any moment. Is there a third party solution that attach/dettaches easily and stays out of the way?

I haven't had any problem with my stock holder. you do have to check the mounting screws occasionally for tightness, and Panasonic mentions they will "squeak" when tightened down, but you can get them good and tight. I'm sorry if this seems trivial, but you are aware that the mic is supposed to wobble in the shock mount.

By shock mount you mean the foam lining? For some reason my holder (not the extension arm) wont seem to tighten completely and wobbles. Not sure if that is what you meant by "shockmount".

I guess the whole assembly seems vulnerable, especially in my carrying case, because it sticks up in the air and could snap off accidently.

I may just mount my shockmount (like the Rode type jdajda mentioned) off to the side rather than on the camera handle.
