HVX + M2 On crack!

This is what my HVX + M2 setup looks like when its on crack! I'm thinking about getting a PL mount for the M2. It took me hours just to get the darn M2 setup and I think it still needs tweaking.

This is only 90% done. I'm still waiting on my switchtronix battery pack then the setup is complete.

One question however, why is it when I pan the m2 imagee or the whole image is wobbly? Is it not on tight or what? When I pan the image wobbles. I'll still tweak with it but if anyone knows where I'm messing up in my setup please let me know. Thanks homies!

I think I figured out the problem, My OIS is on but I think the weight of the Marshall monitor + battery = unbalanced. I just took of the monitor on top and it seem to be panning smoothly. I think I need a better tripod. Thanks for helping.

that's my dream setup. that exact one. i hate you.
what's the total cost? or would you rather not think about it.

the one thing i would change is; get another arm so you could have the marshall on the side, right behind the follow focus.

You gotta get that contraption off the 503. That is decidedly into 516 territory at minimum. Pretty sexy though.

Thanks guys, it's company camera! Yeah, it's now on a 516 head. That crappy 503 didn't really support it. It was just temporary. I just new glass for it and man, this thing looks really sharp.

Dude, I got swords.

That setup does look sweet. What's your take on the RR follow focus, everybody comments that it has 'play'. I'm wondering if RR has addressed this problem yet. Also I need some rod/rails and can't wait for hysonfilms any more, can you tell me your thoughts on the RR stuff?

That's gear backlash - I'd also like to know what their published backlash specification is.

What kind of rails system are you using?
It looks like the redrock, but on ours when we set it up on the little riser spacers to fit the M2, we could no longer get rails to go through to behind the camera.
 
Bluespider and Lenilenapi; what length rails are you using? I have a brevis and will get a matte box soon and don't know if I need the 18 or 24 inch.
