HVX lens X 35mm film lens

I've searched but couldn't find anything.

Does anybody here have done a table, or know whre to find one, of the equivalent focal distance on the HVX lens to 35 mm film lens?
Basically I'm wondering what would be a 50mm.

The manual just give us the numbers for 35mm still.

Thanks,

Alex.

35mm film lens, meaning 35mm movie camera? Multiply HVX focal length by 4.4 to get the equivalent field of view on a 35mm movie camera.

For a 35mm still camera, multiply the HVX focal length by 7.8.

Barry,
How did you get the number 7.8?
My observations, just comparing my SLR (not digital) is somewhere between 6.3-7. I often just figure 16% of 35mm lens is the HVX lens setting.
I found my 50mm aprox equal to 7.5 mm on my HVX.
Since how much you zoom in on the HVX to the 35mm adapter is vague the numbers could vary a bit.
To be honest, now that I think of it I have usually been comparing a 35mm SLR next to an HVX clean.
I'm pretty sure I get roughly the same FOV with the redrock as i do with the SLR though so it shouldn't matter.

I've definitely found my 28mm Nikon to be almost as wide as the HVX fully wide at 4.2mm.

Anybody else get different numbers in practice?
