HVX--->Laptop recording

If I record with the hvx directly to the laptop, what specs would I need for my laptop?

It's hard to find pentium 4 laptops on dell.com. Most of the hard drives are 5400rpms. I'm not sure which laptop to get. Does anyone know the perfect laptop for recording on with the hvx?

If I were you, i wouldnt get a laptop to record onto. Instead get the laptop, but also get a external hardrive. This way you can store enough information on the hard drive and not eat up all the space on the laptop. If you want a really nice external hard drive, i suggest taking a look at the firelite's. They run off the juice of your laptop through the fire wire cord and they NEVER crash. They are awesome. A little pricey, but for a hard drive that doesnt crash, its worth it. As for laptops, i would suggest the g4 powerbooks, until about 3-6 moths ago, when apple switched to intel. If I were you, id get a macbook pro. That way it has the P2 card slot on the side and it will run nicely. But those are just what I'd do. Happy hunting.
