I'm looking into an RC Helicopter rig that will carry the weight of an HVX200, 2.0x telephoto lens, and an FS-100. Something that can easily lift and control a eight or nine pound payload, basically.
Any experienced RC piolots out there have any ideas?
I saw a video on MetaCafe.com that shows footage a guy took. He put two mini-cams on an RC plane, one straight forward, one from the belly, and could switch between the two. He monitored via VR Goggles. He had to use the one on the belly, as when he went nose up, he had to switch to see the horizon.
I'm thinking of an RC helecopter that on person pilots and another monitors the camera and gives navigation directions for specific shots. I've got an application where I may be able to actually use this for a shoot.
