HVX has suddenly stopped working.

I was shooting on a mini-dv, and had a mini-dv tape in the camera when suddenly yesterday, the HVX camera refuse to switch on. I can hear a whirring noise around the mini-dv area but then it stops and the camera stays shut. Probably something is jammed there. I bought the camera from B&H and was just wondering if anybody knew where I can take it in for repairs around the NY/NJ area. Thanks in advance.
 
were you mixing tapes? If you mix different companies the tape heads will get dirty and clog. Just a suggestion.
