HVX, Firestore, & Accessories Powered off D-Tap Issue

I just bought a D-Tap plate from IDX to run my gear all off brick batteries. I have a Anton Bauer D-Tap splitter coming out of the plate to share power to my HVX through a Switronix cable, a Firestore, and an Anton Bauer Ultralight 2.

Here's my issue. I have the factory firestore battery attached to the unit and the D-Tap plugged into the bottom as well. It seems the Firestore is hogging all the power from the brick battery to charge the unit as it drains power from the stock battery first, thus the camera dies much quicker and the firestore retains a full charge once the brick battery is dead.

Does anyone have a similar setup or a work around solution to this? Thanks in advance.

have you tried to pull the firestore battery off and test how long your setup will last?
myself, I just bought 2 tekkeon MP3400 batteries. One to power my camera mounted LCD screen and the other to assist with the Firestore. My FS100 is being repaired, so I can't test that yet, but I'll let you know how it works. I'll test my LCD tomorrow.
How about you. how long is it lasting with the Firestore draining the batteries? and which batteries do you have exactly and which D-tap. could you post links?
thanks.

What happened to your FS? Just curious, b/c we busted ours up (firewire connection at the firestore) and had to send it in.

nothing like that microbob.
I'll tell you more about it once I get my unit back. But it wasn't the firewire connection.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I disconnected the firestore battery and powered it from the Brick battery along with the hvx. I ran a complete 110 minute without the battery dying. The firestore ran out of space before the battery died. I had more than 50% power remaining on the battery as well. This is amazing to have one battery powering everything. The battery was an IDX E7-s.

hey dpavid, why don't you get the firmware upgrade for the firestore, it should give you at least double that on 720/24pn (just remember that the pn is not set on the camera, but the firestore)
