HVX Bootcamp anyone?

Anyone tried the HVX Bootcamp DVD series? I've heard it's very helpful, even for experienced operators. If you have the set and no longer use it, maybe I can make a fair offer and buy it? thanks, would like volume I or II, or both.

It is definitely helpful. Vol I is a must have. I was a little bit disappointed by vol II as it went through the things I bought it for quite quickly but it's useful nonetheless if you're new to editing with the HVX and P2.

V2 has some good basics and I think is even useful for someone who knows them. V1 really teaches you how to set up the camera. I find it ironic that while I am a writer, I am a much more visual learner. For visual learners, nothing beats that Bootcamp Vol 1 DVD. And nothing reinforces what you already might know as effectively as Vol 2.

I second that. I needed to learn the HVX quickly. I bought the camera two busy weeks before I was leaving the country. Barry's DVDs answered everything, in very clear terms. I already had a P2 workshop with Panasonic but there was much, much more on these DVDs. I was also able to pack them (much lighter than a book) on my trip.

I don't want to let them go because I like having them as reference. Just invaluable.

I can't possibly say enough good things about the HVX Bootcamp DVDs.
In a word - indispensible.

I honestly thought I would watch them, get some good info out, and that would be that.
But I find myself going back to them again and again.

They were definitely aptly named - they are BOOTCAMPS.
Barry moves fast, and packs these things full of information.
Plan on watching them with a paper, pen, and your HVX handy - and if you're anything like me you'll be hitting the pause button alot.

Definitely no fluff in these - and in my opinion, to anyone who is serious about getting the most out of their HVX, these DVDs are an aboslute must have accessory.
