HVX and MARSHALL ON-BOARD

In order to output the HVX's HD video signal to a Marshall HD on-board, or any HD on-board mintor, do you need to equip your HVX with an HD-SDI bridge, like the Miranda?

No, they make different Marshall monitor models with various inputs.. The monitor you'd want with the HVX should have Component Inputs...

I just got my Marshall today (V-R70P-HDA). Sweet for the price point. You can get it in three configurations:

1.) SDI / S-Video / Composite
2.) Component SD|HD / S-Video / Composite
3.) HDSDI

If you have an HVX you will want #2.

I ordered mine from Nebtek, they make a Panasonic battery friendly mod which is really handy. It also includes the original V mount battery plate if you want to use the big bricks.

nice, thanks. so this model can display the HD signal/image coming out of the camera, or an SD image? how is your model configured?

I also want to point out that the brick battery that comes from Marshall lasts seemingly forever. I shot last week and had to change the battery onthe cam 2 or 3 times and i was still on the original marshall battery. It's really nice and i think using the cam's battery to power the monitor is really flawed logic except for run and gun.

I received my 7" Marshall yeasterday and was having some problems with not getting any red. it was a green tint. after checking I found I was useing the componet cable from my old JVC HR10. I found the HVX 200 cable every thing is ok.I am a happy camper. I ordered a 10' with rgb connectors also. B&H sells an adapter that you can use the NP1 batts. I have 5 of those left over from my 3/4 U days. 3 will take a charge and I will recell the other 2.
