HVX 200E (PAL) + 60 Hz power + fluorescent tubes = ?

Hello,
I have the European (PAL 25/50i and p) version of the HVX 200. I'm traveling to Mexico in 6 hours and it occurs to me:
I'm shooting (due to lovely client budget constraints) 576/50i DV tape and apparently I'm going to be seeing lots of fluorescent light fixtures. Do I need to worry about flicker? I know I've got the synchro scan / shutter controls but I'm still getting the hang of that. Do I need to bring an NTSC camera as backup?
I shot under some Mercury Vapor lights in Canada recently (the only other time I've operated a PAL camera, also the HVX 200E) and the flicker was spectacular.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have used a the PAL HVX 200 in places like USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan where it is 60Hz. Most of the time, its ok.

There are a few rare occasions where u can't see the flicking on the LCD but it only shows up on the big monitor when I'm back in post, that is really painful. So my advice is to watch the LCD very carefully for any flicking, avoid fluorescents if possible. If its not possible to avoid shooting in a flourescent room, light the subject with a tungsten so u will lessen any flickering effects. Adjusting the shutter speed will help too.
