HV20 24p....HELP NEEDED!

Ok so i found that this process with this 3rd party app called JES Deinterlacer converts the 24p to the true 24p from the HV20, but when i try to do the steps and get to the inverse telecine part that option is not able to be clicked upon i cant choose it.

What am i doing wrong, i have wonderful 24p footage from my new HV20 but i cant get it to f**king work with final cut, can someone tell me how to fix the problem with that JES app or please give me an alternate method?

I THINK ITS BULLCRAP THAT U NEED TO DO ALL OF THESE STEPS TO EDIT HV20 24p FOOTAGE!

Okay, I just downloaded JES Deinterlacer and I am having a problem with it doing anything. I used all the settings it mentioned on the above forum reference, and all that happens upon pressing okay, is a (De)Compression error. I have no idea what that means, any help would be appreciated.
