Husky Doorway Dolly

The European price for the bare cart ranges between 3000 and 3200 euros not including VAT, transport. It is distributed in the US by Abel Cine Tech.

I had a chance to play with the husky dolly at a broadcast exhibition last year.
It's really versatile and very well made, up to broadcast standards. Not a cheap one, though!

I've considered getting a husky dolly myself. What makes it really nice is the way it folds and allows you to use it as an equipment card. Abel Cinetech in Los Angeles is a Panther Broadcast dealer and you can call them for more information. There are numerous accessories (bazooka post, hard wheels, track wheels, etc...) available but the base price is slightly under $5000.

i just ordered a bazooka yesterday.. panther makes some incredible stuff.

And good thing is the only place you can get them is Abel Cine, and it just so happens that Abel is the new partner of DVXuser so you get some pretty nice discounts for being a dvxuser member, just talk to Jarred in LA or Pete in NY.

Sweet! Good to know.:)

Hey Jarred, will you plan to use it with traks? If so, do you have to buy them from panther?... I was wondering if you can just use regular pvc pipes...
How much is the bazooka actually?

I didnt get the husky dolly, just the gas assisted bazooka with high hat. I just got Neil Rowe's dolly and am pretty impressed with the quality, I just gotta make the platform.

gas assisted.... mmmm How's that supposed to work? Never heard of that.
I once used a panther, it was a heavy big old panther dolly (looked a lot bigger than the husky) with an amazing battery powered smooth bazooka ... never thought gas was in there though.

So how much does a bazooka usually run? I considered getting one, but Able doesn't post the price online, and then I got too busy to call. All of this filmmaking is after-hours, so I can hardly make phone calls...

I actually ended up swapping the bazooka for the DV turret from porta job.. the Bazooka ended up only rising to 30"..

The porta jib thing is way more flexible in terms of height, and about 1/3 the price.
