HUMMERS

Re: HUMMERS

Thats some funny ****. Wait! Im a business owner. You mean I can deduct $55,000? :D

Just give me a soft top jeep and ill be cool.

Re: HUMMERS

Oh, you're talking about the SUV Hummer. I thought that you were referring to . . . nevermind. :-X :)

Re: HUMMERS

Can't do it with a Jeep... the deduction only applies to vehicles with a gross weight of over 6,000 pounds, so that pretty much limits it to Hummers and Suburbans, vehicles like that.

Of course, with all the hoopla over gas prices, dependence on foreign oil, and all that, doesn't it just make sense that the US Government is effectively paying people $20,000 to buy the most expensive gas-hogs on the market? ::)

Re: HUMMERS

..hilarious ! now, first i must be upfront and state that i really like the H1 hummer and would get a military surplus one armoured and all that jazz if i had the $ just for the heck of having it .. now on to the H2.. i hated that veh since the day it came out.. so true what it says there on the site.. i would take an H1 anyday over an h2.. its a poop bucket when it comes to anything offroad.. a regular factory jeep or pickup truck would be much more well suited, and it looks like short school bus! and has a center of gravity like an icecream cone balanced on the pointy cone end. the H1 was a real military veh(even thought its tough to get an actuall armoured military version). and the h2 is just a peice of butter on wheels.. anyway. sorry to any H2 owners in advance.. again, ive always been a fan of the H1 military hummer, but the H2 is just ... .. ::).. bah...nevermind.

Re: HUMMERS

I had a friend buy a more than $70,000 Range Rover which averages around 12 MPG and they got the tax right off. All they do is carry a briefcase to an office. Seem like a great way to help those with the money get a $20,000 rebate via the government. Now, I know some people have legitmate uses for these 6000+ pound gas guzzling, road hogs, but I live in LA and I would bet that well over 70% of the people driving them aren't carrying much more than paperwork to the office 95% of the time.

Meanwhile, tax breaks for hybrid and electric cars has been reduced. Makes me scratch my head and wonder what our government leaders are thinking.

Scott ???
