I'm going to be shooting a 1-3 minute video. In the video, a computer server will be shot with high caliber weapons and blown up. It will be done in a documentary style, similar to this video without the really lame scene at the beginning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drQlSptFXXI Also planning on making it a lot better. ;-)

Anyway, I'm trying to decide which camera I should go with for the main camera. I'll probably have some Canon HV20's or 30's pre-positioned on tripods for B-roll, but I want a better camera for the main shots. For those of you who have experience with the HPX300, HPX170, HM700L7XT, and EX1, which would you recommend for this situation?

Thanks!

Jeremiah

I'd say the EX1 based on your selections. That said, I have been nothing but pleased with the FX-1 in these cases. I tend to blow stuff up about once a month or more. From mushroom cloud explosions with no video woes to 180db+ audio with no distortion, this camera takes a likin' with style and grace. I've nicked the lens a time or two by firing big fireworks at it but no other camera would be different. Just a matter of throwin on a disposable filter first.
