HP Laptop Full Screen issue

Hey all, I recently purchased an HP DV6 6170us from BHphotovideo.com. I'm very happy with the unit so far although there is an issue. When I use FireFox or Chrome to try and watch Netflix, there is a gap on the right side of the screen. This does not occur with IE9. Does anybody have any recommendations? I've done many searches and have come up with no answers. Many people have had the same experience but have not had answers posted. I even tried HP and they were no help. I doubt very much it has anything to do with HP. It's a software issue, most likely having to do with Firefox and/or Chrome and how they interact with Netflix's player.
 
Only thing causing me to believe it is HP related is that it works fine using Chrome/Firefox using my Dell Desktop computer
