I thought the winner was an unoriginal and slightly overused concept. I wasn't a fan.
I thought the 1st place winner was very entertaining and watchable. I think those guys have some talent. If I was a member of that band I would be very interesting in airing that video.
2nd place was a pretty good concept, but was full of cliches.
Man, I thought the third one was the best with the time machine concept. The second was cool, but it would have been better if they actually turned into a real band.
If I had more time mine would have been better, it was hard trying to get everyone together. It was cool experience doing it though.
I just watched it and the grandprize winner is awight. It all depends on whos judging it. Everyone has their favorites and the third seems up more alley.
yea i didnt win either, oh well, i liked the first too, the first one must have had a nice budget to work with, better then my zero budget, i didnt like the thrid one that much, expect the girl was hot.
My friends and I didn't win either, but we did get an email saying that we were finalists and that they are going to put our video in the contest spotlight on January 11, 2005 - anyone else get this email?
Ive never seen a full reversed video like that. Well executed in making it look like a single camera take. I think technically he did a great job. Im just wondering what it would have been like if everything was done on a zero-budget.
But I thought the animation was the best overall. It is extremely hard to bring life into stick figures. Also the render times & compositing on that must have been pretty heavy, they got it all done within the time constraint.
