Howcast.com message on vimeo?

did any other vimeo members get a message from heather from Howcast.com on vimeo? The message i got sounded pretty general as in that it could be sent to everyone. Just something i was interested in seeing if i really was "chosen" or if it was kinda just, hey they've got over 10 videos. Send form 1B over to him!
 
i was just giving an example, cus you know i wasn't sure if it was like an automated system in which it sent over just a general form (in my example form 1B, could have been anything) or if someone actually DID watch my videos and enjoy them. Just curious ya know? its nice to feel special...unless its a form, than boo whoo='( hahaha so i was just trying to figure out if it was a computer complementing me, or an actual person.
 
Oh yeah I get what you're saying now, leave it to me to not get humor. Howcast has some very well made videos, though they only pay you $50 and a percent if your video ever becomes popular.
 
i didn't even know i got paid...hahaha this could be fun! I emailed "her" back asking if it was an automated email, or if i was special! lol

Hey,

It's Heather here. I'm the manager of Howcast's Emerging Filmmakers Program. I just wanted to reply and let you know that it is true that I contact filmmakers on Vimeo (they're awesome!), but I'm not a robot. I do handpick all the filmmakers I message but I'm sorry if the email I sent sounds otherwise (maybe I should work on that!).

I also wanted to clarify payment. I know that stuff is important to everybody!:
The program is really about creativity, experience, exposure and promotion but there is a stipend of $50, and down the road, the possibility of revenue sharing if your video blows up on the web. Plus, Howcast spots are excellent reel-builders for new, fresh directors.
