First of all, thanks to all of the guys on this site who are willing to share so much of their knowledge with the less experienced.
I have been contracted to shoot a documentary bio of a band that was recently signed to a major label. This bio will be part of their EPK and will possibly be a part of their first album release package. My shoot will involve following the band to various locations around the city where they are from, showing their lifestyle and letting the viewer get to know them for who they are and then sitting down and doing group and individual interviews. This will be a 3 day affair.
At my disposal are:
(3) Sennheiser G2 wireless systems
(2) Sennheiser ME66 K6 shotguns
(1) AT 897 shotgun
I don't have a hyper capped mic so please don't chastise me for it. I'm slowly building my business and haven't been able to put together the money for one.
I have a budget of $1500 to pick up whatever extra hardware I need. I'm assuming I'm going to need a mixer. I have an experienced sound person at my assistance to run everything but I'm looking for the advice of the more experienced members of this site to help me along so that I can communicate what I need to my sound op.
There are 5 members in the band, and we will be shooting with two cameras. How would you go about doing this with the equipment I have at my disposal?
