How would you connect a hot shoe adapater 1/4-20 male to 1/4-20 male arm?

I'm sure this is done a lot, I'm looking to connect a Accessory Shoe To 1/4x20 Thread for Mounting Video Monitors with a Jag35 Articulating Arm. What would be the best way of doing it since both ends are male? thanks

Well, the down and dirty DIY way would be to go to the hardware store and get one of the female to female couplers that's used to connect two pieces of 1/4" threaded rod ("all-thread") together. They're about an inch long, drilled and threaded all the way through to accept 1/4-20 screw threads, hexagonal cross-section so you can tighten them down with a wrench. I'm sure the cinema places would be happy to sell you a jewel-encrusted, platinum-plated one for 20X the price, but the Home Depot solution should work just fine. I just used a couple in a DIY project unrelated to video about a week ago.
