I have a shoot coming up however I want to setup the camera so I don't have to behind the camera at all times. I want to connect the camera to a director's monitor (a few feet away). How would I go about in acheiving this? What do you need to buy?
You need nothing more than a cable to connect the two. RCA/male on the camera end and either RCA or BNC depending on the input of your monitor.
Or... you could use a program like DV Rack and actually watch and record to your PC laptop. Then you would need a firewire cable.
Depending on the connections on your monitor. I an running a S-video cable from my DVX to my JVC monitor. You could also run RCA if your monitor does not have S-video.
If you just look at the camera you'll firgure that one out. Actually, you'll probably need a 4pin-4-pin cable unless your laptop has a 6-pin connector. Doubtful
hehe...thanks sirius. the only reason why I don't know is because i just ordered the camera and i haven't received it yet but I wanted to purchase all the accessories by the time i receive it. Since my laptop is a 4pin, I'll go w/ the 4-4.
