I need a 2nd workstation for mobile use. I already have the below desktop and it works pretty well overall, but works hard with compressed 4K DJi (60 MB/sec) footage. Will the Laptop be comparable/worse/better?
Both systems would be running Windows 7 Pro, Adobe CS6, Vegas Pro and 3ds Max.

Nvidia Quadro M5000M 8GB (1536 CUDA Cores) GDDR5 256 Bit, Bandwidth 160 GB/s
Desktop
i7 3930K 3.2GHz
64 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB (2304 CUDA Cores) GDDR5 256 Bit, Bandwidth 288.4 GB/s
It's hard for me to know what to expect. The Laptop GPU has much more RAM but the Desktop has twice the system RAM and more CUDA cores.
The Laptop would have the OS and software installed on a SATA 3 SSD with the media going on an M.2 SSD, which should be an advantage over the Desktop which uses SATA 3 SSDs and SATA 3 7200RPM drives respectively
