How To Write A TV Pilot

Hey Guys,

I have Final Draft 7 and have recently decided to pursue writing my first tv pilot.

I know how to write a regular screenplay, but haven't the slightest clue as to write a TV Pilot. I'm assuming it's formatted like a regular screenplay, but what else do I need to know?

Any tips or links to samples would be appreciated. Thanks a ton in advance.

i don't believe it is the same format. there are different formats for TV as well.. if its more of a cinema-like show, then i think standard screenplay format would work. if its more of a sit-com like show, then more of a stage writing format would be better.
