How to write a script for a documentary?

This is one sort of fashioned after ken Burns-style approach to an American literary figure. I want to sketch the whole thing out on a script. Is there a format that can be followed using a program like Final Draft?

They seem to have settings that are more for narrative filmmaking. Any templates, examples etc. would be appreciated.

I've written 2 DOC scripts, based on the standard format people use.

I have the info at home. At work now. I'll send it tonight.

I like the two column format for this. One side describes the visual while the other column is VO narration... also Rabinger has written the book on docs while Ken Burns has shown us how to present the material effectively. I love a good doc!

As 10s pointed out, the 2-column format is nice and simple--SHOTS/GRAPHICS in one column & VO NARRATION in the other. But since I won't be able to send you anything tonight now that I'm getting killed at work... here's a nice pdf on DOCs including a 3 column format at the end of it.

I've written a pile of documentary scripts in two-column format (though sometimes I make a third), and **very important** questions you need to ask during an interview to get the answers you want.
