How To Write a Resume?

I have just recently completed my second film. I directed and produced the film that was shot in Taiwan over the last 6 months. Now that I have a bit of experience under my belt I want to write a professional resume so I can try and get a job in the industry. After doing some research I can't seem to find many examples of what to include.

Anyone have suggestions for someone "new" to the industry looking to get a job with a production house or studio? Just looking for a myriad of examples for different jobs in the industry. Any points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you want you can check out the website to my recent film entitled "The Glass Box" at www.theglassboxmovie.com

There are tons of advice sites on the design and look of a resume.

My two notes , from a hiring stand point are :

1) always come up with a creative "subject line"
2) The chronological timeline of jobs you've had shouldn't really matter. IE... if you DP'd projects in college put that at the top of the list... not the fact that you've been gaffing for a little over a half a year.

Consider writing about 10 different resume templates. Depending on exactly what field your job is, how big the company is, what hints they reveal in their job description, etc, you should have custom tailored resumes that make your most relevant stuff stand out.

Just google search "how good resume" and read as many articles as you can find; you'll get the hang of it.

i'm surprised that that resume (although very very good) doesn't list what formats the projects where shot on. Most DP resumes i've seen list the format. Then again that dude obviously has tons of experience.

I think the feeling among Cinematographers is that if you've been doing it for 20+ years, you are comfortable and qualified with almost any camera. And I would also guess that guy doesn't do a lot of work on the XL-2.
