How to work between FCP 6 and FCP 7

I recently updated to FCP 7 on my Mac Pro and realized that I have clients that only have 6.0.2. They need the project file from time to time and as you know you can't switch back to 6 once you have saved it in 7. I've heard if we export the file as an XML file that it allows you to switch between versions.


I haven't had the chance to try it myself yet. Anyone have experience with this or have any other solutions to this issue?

Yes, I do it all the time. Export the sequence as an XML version 4.

You can do a whole project too.
