mk012? Do you just take the mic and stick it in there? Are there any proper ways to do this or do I just shove it in? Am I not supposed to twist in half to fit the mic in? If so, how do I? Also, do I just stick the windjammer over the bbg? Thanks.

Twist the BBG in half carefully. Insert the MK012 into the half with the hole so that is sticks out about 2/3 the length of the mic. This will allow you enough room to install the KSSM Shock mount. Twist the two halves of the BBG back together and Install the KSSM shock mount. Install the Furry over the BBG and you are ready to go. Remember that the MK 012 needs 48v phantom power...

I just got this set up a week ago and I love it. Also got the Senn 416 with full K-Tek Zepplin.

Good luck.

Thanks got through most of it but have one small question. Is it ok to take the attachment on the oktava? It's like a little sidebar that looks like you can screw something in. What is it used for? Thanks.

Ejdge - It sounds like you're talking about the microphone stand clip. Yes, you can take it off (as a matter of fact, you kind of have to take it off to get the shockmount on). Otherwise you're talking about the microphone cap, and unfortunately, that you have to have on the microphone, or else you won't hear anything through the mic. :-)

Lol, a ton of us Oktava owners get the BBG and panic at not being able to open it, jump on DVXUser and start a thread. There's at least half a dozen of these.
