How to un-squeeze from DVX100A

Im about to sell my camera (that I shamelessly havent really been using), therefore the quite newbie question:

If I shoot in the Squeeze mode; how do I bring that back to widescreen in post production? And is it a common feature of editing software or do I need a special one to go with the DVX100A?

Squeeze mode shoots as 720x480 with a 1.2 pixel aspect ratio as opposed to a .9 pixel aspect ratio. Any editing software worth its salt should interpret the 1.2 PAR and adjust the display accordingly.
