How to sync two LCD displays

If I have two LCD displays connected via HDMI through an HDMI splitter, won't there be issue with sync depending on the processing speed of each display and the time it takes for the signal to travel through the cable, etc.? Is there a way to have two different LCD displays hooked up via HDMI that are maybe 15 feet apart, and have them synced up perfectly? Is there a syncing device that does this?

If the displays are the same model and the cables are the same length, there's no reason they shouldn't be in sync.

Yes, but I may need to have one larger display and one smaller display, so they won't be the exact same model. Also, I might be buying them used so the brands / models may be different.
