A while ago I saw in a video a clip sliding into another. I can't remember where I saw the video so im going to explain it as best as I can.
The camera was set on a tripod and panned one way and ended at a tree, the clip it went into was panned in the same direction but started at the tree. It seems like it wasn't all done in FCP but if someone can tell me how to do this sort of effect that would be great.
BTW im not talking about the slide transition, unless that's something that you use to get that sort of effect.
