Do you guys know an effective way to shoot a time elapse sequence from dawn to dusk like in Survivors? Leaving the camera on for 12 hours can't be the only solution, right?

Thanks.

well what kind of camera do you have. im iffy about the dvx, but all vx's and gl's have a setting where it shoots in intervals. this would be your best bet. someone with a dvx100 please relpy and tell me if its able to shoot intervals

I'm getting a 100a soon. Yes, I would like to know how to shoot in intervals if it's the only other alternative. BTW, what do you mean by "intervals" exactly? The way I understand it is that the camera stops recording for while(an interval), then continues to record after that. So is it a way to save some tape?

Thanks.

"Intervals" means the period of time that elapses between the camera's capturing one frame, and the next.

A device capturing one frame every ten minutes, is capturing at "ten-minute intervals," etc
