How to setup Video Lighting for Seminar ?

My office decides to set up a 1000 sq ft briefing/seminar room for staff training. During the training, we will have video recording. We plan to install ceiling type video lighting that don't generate heat and don't take up floor space. What kinds of lighting work for us ?
I approached a few stage lighting contractor but they told me video lighting are different from stage lighting. We don't have budget for a professional video studio. Any practical lighting solution ?

Thanks.

The problem with top lighting (from the ceiling down) is the bad eyeshadows. I remember some behind the scenes from "the Office" where they said they were using Kino-Flo tubes (fluorescent tubes with high cri for film and video purposes) in ceiling fixtures, but they were using these self-made mirror/reflector boxes to re-direct the light sideways, so it wouldn't be directly top down.

Solutions like these have to be self-made most of the time. If you have no experience with building lighting equipment, I suggest you find a local film or tv gaffer who can work out a solution for you.

I'm curious about this also. Occasionally we do video off-site of conferences/seminars. Usually the lights are down and I'm pushed to the back of the room, exasperating the poor lighting. I've setup a simple filter key light on a stand up on stage. That seems to work, or is at least better than not. Curious for other solutions.
