How to revert sequence settings?

I apologize in advance if this is a confusing question, but I'll try to describe the problem. I initially edited a music video in FCP6, all dvcpro 720/24p footage shot on hpx170, much of it overcranked. The client wanted to make many changes, hence I copied and pasted all the edited clips onto a new sequence. What I didn't realize til now is the new sequence was set at 480/29.97, as I think I had been working on a different project a few days ago that was shot on minidv from a dvx100. So when I exported sequence as a QT movie, it's 4:3, 480/29.97, and of course, a much smaller file. Anyway, I now want to keep all of the changes that we did on Sequence 2, but I want it to be the native dvcpro 720/24p that it was shot on. Can I just copy and paste and put it all in a new sequence with the setting I want? Or can I simply change the settings in my current sequence and re-render to get the dvcpro settings. I apologize if the above doesn't make sense and I can try to clarify.
Many thanks!

Did you convert the over cranked footage to 720/24p in cinema tools?

You should be able to go to sequence -> settings (Command 0) and change the settings to your desired size.

The other thing I do when I need to create a new sequence and need the settings to transfer over is:
Open the new sequence
Drag a clip down into it (in your case - DVCPRO 720/24p) and FCP will prompt you to alter the sequence to match the clip settings.
Click Yes
copy and paste your edited sequence into the timeline and all the settings should match.
Then delete the original clip you drug into the timeline to create the settings.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for- I hope my answer fits based on my interpretation of your question.

Many thanks for the response jmega. I didn't convert any overcranked footage. In my first sequence when I had the settings matched to the dvcproHD 24p all footage played, looked and was sized the way it was shot. When I created Sequence 2 and forgot to change the settings from after working on a different minidv project is when I hit the snag. Hence, Sequence 2 has minidv 29.97 settings, though the native footage is dvcprohd 24pn. When I copied and pasted, or tried to do what you suggested and changing the sequence settings to dvcprohd 24p, all it did was basically make the footage 16:9, but still kept the dv resolution. So, it seems it was permanently downscaled/ressed.

What I'm wondering, is it possible to use all of the edits that I made on my timeline from sequence 2, but have those edits pull from the native footage at it's native codec and resolution: dvcprohd, 24p? Or do I have to redo all of my edits on a new timeline w/ the settings set how they've should've been set in the first place? I know this is rambling and getting confusing! I'm just trying to avoid having to re-edit the entire video yet again.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Create a new sequence with the proper preset (COmmand+0 will open the preset dialog box). Open old sequence and in the timeline select all (command +A) and copy (Command+C). CLick on new sequence with proper settings and paste (command+V).

Should take you about 30 seconds from start to finish.
