Hi all,
This may be a dumb question... I have been working on a project in After Effects CS3 with tons of photoshop layers in a high resolution (probably higher than I should be working). I figured when I was ready to render, I could precompose everything into one layer, change my composition resolution to a lower DV 4:3, then scale my pre-composed layer smaller and render. Well, this isn't working (which should have been obvious to me in the beginning) because the source material is still the same resolution... so I'm still getting HUGE render times. Is there any easy way to work in high resolutions, then in the end, adjust comp size and adjust resolution of source material accordingly?
I can create a proxy of my pre-composed movie for testing... I guess I'm talking about the final product... or is this thought an oxymoron?
Thanks!
Brad
