How to reimport filmstrip back into Premiere?

I've searched the forum for "filmstrip" and I could not find my answer. I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 Academic Version, and I'm wondering why I can't export back to .flm. Hopefully I don't have a dumbed-down version of Photoshop.

Thanks.

The Academic version of Photoshop is completely and fully functional. You just cant use it in a business environment and make money off the work you do on it. That's the only "restriction".

As to .flm format, Photoshop can get a little ill tempered when working with it, something that has always been the case. You best option would be to open your filmstrip file, copy the background layer, create a new document, and paste it there. Then, work till your heart's content. When you want to save to a .flm file, open the original .flm file, and copy and paste the finished and flattened work you did from the other file. then flatten that, and save as. You will be able to save as a .flm, and can rename it accorindgly, if you dont want to permanently alter the original.

However, you may want to look into other software to accomplish what you are wanting to use Photoshop for. Try Ulead Media studio version 7 which has a video paint program (which is suprisingly competiant complete with onion skin options and whatnont) or even a copy of Commotion. Both should be dirt cheap.
