How to regulate DTAP from Vlock battery

Hello,

I am trying to power my ursa mini pro from a VLOCK battery on my dji ronin. As the dji roinin power distributor or the extended arms are too expensive.
What would be the cheapest way to do this?

Thanks,

I use the Indypro GH5 to Dtap and power off a Vmount...it came highly rated and Hot Rod Camera carries it also...the Voltage regulator is inline outside the camera and the dummy battery is just a dummy...seems like the most fool proof sollution

You don't need a voltage regulator, the URSA Mini Pro takes 12 VDC, which is (nominally) what a V-lock battery outputs. You just need a P-tap to 4-pin XLR cable.

If you do need regulated power with the Ursa, you can also add a battery Pinch...you can choose one with the necessary range of output the camera will operate on. The problem with the GH cameras is that if the voltage is not spot on, the camera does not recognize the battery...though I don't know, the Ursa may operate across a range...your first step should be contacting BMD directly though...they are the ones who can clarify the voltage parameters of the camera for you

If it has a 4 pin XLR for power, then the direct battery should be fine. I'd ask BlackMagic and not rely on other sources, but I expect it is also in the user manual.

Consider also that this camera can be powered directly by a V mount battery by using a V mount battery plate on the back. On a gimbal the weight is not wanted, so the 4 pin should be fine. But again I'd ask the manufacturer or look it up in the user manual.
