How to reduce human wrinkles in video?

Hi,

I filmed an elderly couple dancing for the introduction to a documentary I am attempting to make. My camera is the Panasonic HMC150. The lighting is soft and diffused as I wanted to show the couple in flattering light.

All looks good, except some extreme close-ups of their faces. The shots are nice, a little artistic, however the human wrinkles (around the eyes and mouth) are clearly visable.

Do you know of a filter / effect / technique in Premiere Pro (or After Effects) to reduce these wrinkles? Ideally I would want to keep the eyes and mouth sharp, otherwise the image will appear soft.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

did you try masking the skin tones in AE and playing with blur? A little touch of gaussian blur may help.

IMO the best way is to bring the video in photoshop extended and apply Portraiture plugin (by Imagenomic). It leaves the details on subjects intact but softens the tones that you select. But I guess this is not the workflow you're looking for....

It is possible to do in Adobe Photoshop having spread out a scene to sequences, but it is possible to do by means of a mask and blur!
Using Neat Video It will turn out better for the smaller sum!
Plus you can delete noise and receive an excellent shade of your video!

There's a Time Machine plug-in for After Effects. By moving the control slider to the left, you can see what things used to look like. By moving it to the right, you can see what they will look like.

To get rid of wrinkles on old folks, move it back to something like "1950".

Thanks Diegocervo,

No I haven't. Can you give me some pointers (steps) on how to do this? Just to get me started and then I'll do more research on it.

Thanks KiSeAn,

Can you also give me the steps I need to follow to achieve this? It would be greatly appreciated.

You could export tiffs out of premiere, and work on of them in Camera Raw (using the clarity slider).
Then save your work and apply the corrections to all the outputed tiffs files - Re-import in premiere ...
