I wanna become a short film director planning to start my first short film in December

I have a digital camera which is 8 mega pixel I have a small doubt about recording dialogs

Do I need to record them on location or I need to again do the rerecording

But If its rerecording which software do I need to use will there be any problems such as synchronization between voice and video?

and I want to use voice over , Can Some one suggest me how to add voice over. which software do I need to use for recording ?

PS: I Stay in India and my film is zero budget film
Thanks in advance.

You need to try and get clean sound while you are shooting. Interiors = good directional mike and an environment that is 'dry' (does not echo). Put down blankets on the floor under the actors and hang furniture blankets, if you have to. Get the mike as close as you can and make sure you have a good boom man (any movement he makes may be relayed down the boom and picked up by the mike) Exteriors are more difficult - they are commonly re-recorded later to get rid of planes, lawn movers, etc. ADR (Dialog replacement) is an art - both for the engineer recording it and the actor performing it. It is not easy. As far as sync goes, if your actors are good, they will do it to picture until it is in sync. You are wise to think about sound.
