How to record lunar eclipse

OK, here is a pre-recording of what I will be trying to record tomorrow night

My settings on Panasonic AG-AC160A were Cine D, PH1080/60 24p, p3.2k, full zoom, auto-iris

The clip runs 40 seconds.

It has a bluish cast as opposed to yellow.

I will go out again with ATW on Ach and see what that gives.

Any suggestions?

A second recording, this time with ATW set to ON. Some of the bluish cast is gone but wtih the eye, the moon looks more yellow than on the recording.

I figure I willl need to keep ATW set to ON because at full eclipse, there will be a shift from black to red.

Looks like you should be able to capture it well. I thought about it but I'm going to just let you do the work! Look forward to your results. Thanks

I will post a clip but not much to see.

I managed to capture the go-dark phase but never saw the moon go to red or come back to full.

Clouds rolled in at the exact moment of the middle phase.

Aarrrrrgh!

That is a major bummer.

But thanks for having such a thorough go at it.
