When I am working without my own equipment, this is easier. Now that I have an HVX package, it gets a little more tricky for me.
Typically, the way I do it is: quote the producer my day rate, and then if they want to rent equipment, I quote them that seperatly. However, I hate it when I give people my labor rate (not matter how low) and they ask, "Does that include the camera?" and I have to say, "No, the camera is another 300/day"or whatever.
It seems like alot of people combine the two into one number. They say, "My rate with equipment is x amount per day." This is a much larger number, which may be scarrier for the producer. Which way is better???
