How to print time-watch on output video?

Hello;

I'd like to do a viewing of all my video that I shot (aboout 5 hours) - and I figured the one way to make this easy is , while we're watching on a large screen, we can take notes and reference specific times or frames.

Is there a way to output the film with a timer displayed right in the movie - so that we can pause, note the time, without having to use a clock or something?

Help!

Thanks,
Naeem

What sort of video is it - dv, vhs, Video 8 ....??????

What hardware are you using to play it off the large screen with ?

If it is a DV camera or a DV deck, set it to show the T/C or timedate stamp data from the tape.

This is from DV - and already catured to Hard-drive. I didn't save it with any time setting in the camera.

What I would like to do is add a new timeline stamp in Premiere, so when I view it on screen, I can reference times where I need to make edits, etc..

Well if you've got After Effects, it's got a plug-in you can apply.

Called "TimeCode", it overlays Timecode in real-time in a manner you specify.

I use a plugin for Premiere written by some Russian guy that lets me put a time code display onto my video in Premiere.

It's pretty cheap and works pretty good unless you try to use it over HDV footage. But you said just DV so that should work for you.

Edit:URL was bad.

Great thanks!,

btw, yaqfxq33k - the downloads from that guy's site - are they 30 day trials or what?
